Decided to sell my 19” 2008/9 Niner M.C.R 9 29er in Root Beer colour. In very good shape, one paint chip on the top tube, but easily remedied with the original Niner root beer paint (10 ml) supplied with the bike. No dents or dings, really excellent shape. Bike is from 2008/9 and has seen very little trail. Frame is same as the Niner S.I.R 9, but with normal BB. MCR stands for "magic carpet ride" :)

All(!) tubes Reynolds 853 steel, rear mech Sram X9, front mech Shimano XTR, shifters X9, chain set Shimano LX, brakes Avid Juicy 5. Wheels Bontrager Duster, tyres Bonty Jones X. Saddle Bontrager, head set Ritchey. New (2 months old) stuff on it: Salsa Pro moto carbon handle bar, Salsa Cro moto rigid cromo fork and Race Face Next SL carbon seat post.

Looking for 1150 £ + shipping from Finland (£80). (frame only is around £800 new)

If I’m off on price, please let me know.

:D

Looks lovely but slightly too big for me and slightly too small for my mate looking for a 29er.
Didn't realise it was effectively the same as a SIR9 which has a great reputation.

Thanks Carl, yes it's a nice bike. The only difference to a S.I.R is the bb, which in the SIR is the Niner BioCentric EBB system, good for SS:ing:

The S.I.R. 9 uses the same custom drawn Reynolds 853 tubing as the M.C.R. 9 and combines it with Niner’s ultra-light eccentric bottom bracket.

The geometry the same too, although SIR has a few mm longer chainstays probably due to diffrent dropouts.

Niner recommends the large or 19" for 5'11"-6'3" or 1.8-1.91m tall people. I'm a little under 6'2" and it fits me well.

:)
