Devout Dirtbag
I bought this off ebay, not knowing what it was. But the lugs looked nice and it had some nice bits on it. I can't find any serial numbers, but suspect it might be a peugeot thats lost its plate. Its been completely resprayed. Any suggestions as to what it might be??

Simplex dropouts, Nervex Lugs I think??, some evidence of hand filing on lugs, only add on brazinngs are for rear derailleur.

Sorry for the terrible pictures. And I completely failed to realise that I had used the PX10 word. Apologies, I know nothing about french bikes.

So, before I conclude this thing should be white and black with a lion on it, are there any other bikes this could be: Nervex Pro lugs, french BB, Simplex drop outs. Looks exactly like the various mid 60s PX10s I've found on the internet. Very nippy machine, rides really well.

Quite a lot of info on the PX10 on these web sites

from what little I know about them I believe that the early 60's had the frame number stamped into the BB photo 49 (the 2 i have do) the later ones had a plate riveted on to the BB. Also if they have the Nurvex BB its marked nervex NB Some had the Nervex head & seat tube lugs but a different BB.
Also the early frames had a lip/guide on the rear non gear side drop out Photo 28 (sorry I don't know how to describe it) but you can see it in one of the photos. & I know the later frames didn't have it. Also the rear gear cable stop changed between the 60's & the later models. Photo 25
Hope this is of some help to you.
You can check out all the photos here of one of my PX10's

Gosh, you have some stunning bikes there. Thanks for the links, there were 2 that I hadn't found which were invaluable. It looks to me like its a 64-70 range PX10, I'm hoping I'll find some numbers when I get it completely stripped. As a bonus, it looks like it still has some original paint underneath, so maybe some decals remain too. Thanks again.
