Randomly came across something totally out of left field, about a decade older than any bike I've found exciting. I needed a project & this fit the bill & then some.

I've still got a fair amount of cleaning to do. This was after an hour. The rack really wants to stay where it is at the moment.

I've found brass brushes followed by metal polish revive these sort of things. Did wonders with some 60 year old Campagnolo skewers.

I can't agree with you more. I've been using hot water, Dawn & a brass brush & the results are beyond my expectations. I need stronger hands though, I spent almost an hour brushing that Campy QR.
