NEW WHEELS...AND FORKS.......yipee (zipp content)pace too

I bought some zipp 515 carbon wheels built onto hope tiglide hubs and with d butted dt swiss spokes,c1997/1998

They are in amazing condition as the hub bearings are like new and the rim braking surface has no wear to be seen :shock:

The only problem was that one spoke had pulled out of the front rim and I had to get busy with some stainless steel and a carbon "repair kit" consisting of some 3m carbon glue and a piece of trimmed carbon handle bar that I smashed up with a hammer and salvaged a few pieces of fibre

I made a new spoke hole in a piece on 1/4mm stainless steel and glued it in place and then built up the carbon that was missing job done,the wheel is now true and solid again

It does make a change to have proper wheels again and they are super stiff :shock: hope titanium freehub is massively noisy though compared to my old shimano silent ones

I have never seen another pair only in mags from bitd
