New/old stock stems on fleabay

Anyone know of these? Do they "work" ie help with canti brakes? Were they a thing back in the day?

Not seen many with the roller integrated in to the stem but you see quite a few with a roller underneath.
Can work quite well, although it is just another moving part to get clogged with mud! Not sure they're any better than conventional cable hanger.

Unless you were actually underwater, they'd never get clogged with anything.

They are good quality stems that bring a low front end up to back friendly heights with a non offset roller.

There are some with cams that are supposed to aid braking by increasing cable pull.
