Short of posting loads of individual photos what else could I do. a seat pin is a seat pin at the end of the day.

You've answered your own question there! Maybe you could upload a photo of each one onto a site like flickr or what have you (and then posted a link up to the photos on this thread) as they aren't all exactly the same. We Retrobikers are indeed fussy, if we weren't this site wouldn't exist (you should try the Retrobike road forum if you think we're bad!) :D
Up load a photo for every seat pin, Its just not worth the time or effort to be honest also I don't use Flicker either, as I have my own web site www.cwiw.co.uk, & before you say anything I don't intend to pollute it with push bike stuff (ROAD OR ATB). I don't think that mountain bikers are any more fussy than the roadies (maybe colour wise). The Testers are the worst, obsessed with weight ( what 99% of them don't realise is that once you are over about 28/30 mph its aerodynamics thats 100% important NOT weight. but try telling them. Anyway enough of this rubbish its a very good forum & I'm enjoying looking at what is available, what I will do later is up load some photos of the old read bikes I have collected. in the mean time if I uncover any more bits & bobs I will offer them on here before putting on Flea Bay.

This might help ID them. (I hope) Then just list them by number, looking at your front mech post and you site, quality of the pictures is not a problem :)
Could always email anyone interested the full size pictures to save uploading them all once they seen a glance at the thing they want. That's what a few here seem to do.

thank,s guys for all the suggestions. One very minor problem The site would only let me upload 4 images?

Four attachments per post, that's why photobucket(/Flickr/whatever) is handy as you can dump the photos on there in one go and just link to them. Then they can all appear on the post, or you can just show small versions on the post which will link back to original, simples! Once you've done it once it is anyway...
