New job, new area - Poole/Bournemouth - Anyone there?

Moving to Bournemouth in 4 weeks as I've been offered Assistant Manager position at our new 10,000 sq ft 'flagship' store in Poole.

Anyone here live in that area? Anywhere decent to ride? What about places to live, where to avoid etc? Think we'll go fo Bournemouth rather than Poole to live as there seems to be a bit more going on there.

First impressions from my one and only visit are that it seems quite a nice place, and a bit more going on than in Exeter!

give makster a shout as he lives a couple of miles from the poole chainlink ferry.

i don't know where the best place to live would be but there is good riding all over, you've got the purbecks on your doorstep, ride cycleworks do regular group rides there, there is also the new forest a short distance away, not technical but good for bashing in miles, and of course my favourite, the isle of wight.

also if you don't mind a drive there is the south downs not too far away, maybe an hour if you start from winchester or 1 1/2 from queen eliz park
