My first Tip find!

Ok, I've been noticing a lot of tip finds coming up recently, so thought I'd go and have a look around.........

My Tip's normally absolutely rubbish (forgive the pun :roll: ) when it comes to having any retrobike pickings. :cry:

So a Woman pulls up in her 4x4, packed to rafters with modern bikes that she just doesn't want any more, and then, the piece-de-reistance.................. This:

Now I know it's not exactly in the same league as LGF, but it was my first (they say you never forget your first ) and it was bike related, and even better than all of that, said lady gave it to me for free.

Oh yeah and they had some Ritchey vantage comp wheels up there that I paid a quid for

Our local tips all have deals done with people who come and take away all bikes.. which is a shame..

yeah some tips do not give or sell bikes for one reason or another, however there are other ways of getting free or cheap treasure, freecycle [ yahoo groups ] local papers you can put wanted ads in and check out what people are selling cheap, so do not despair....

I found a crappy old Hawk on a bit of waste ground a couple of days ago, obviously just dumped, lots of worn out and busted bits , probably not nicked. There is a good pair of mudguards attached and a few other bits that will get re-used somewhere. The frame will get chopped to build a trailer.
