My 1994 XC Bike (Giant Carbon?)

Been unused since 1998, got it out 6 weeks ago.

Broke a few spokes, so rebuilt the rear wheel had to use tap washers in the elastomer forks as the tyre rubbed on the crown and all the bounce has gone, so effectivley a rigid now.

Still have great fun with it at Gisburn Forest and Lee Quarry... and Todmorden moor.

Carbon Framed, used to have Pace forks but they got sold.

Swapped the rear ti-di spokes for some steelies as they were snapping, and treated it some new tyres as the ritchie megabytes were looking hard and well past it.....

To be honest I cant remember. I was sponsored by Al Carter (amoing others) in 1994 and this is what they gave me. I'm not sure if it really was an Al Carter Cabon County or if it was just badged as that.

1994 was my first year out of the Junior class, which I had did quite well in so was lucky to get Hope/Pace/Karrimor/PSP22 and the Al Carter sponsors

It was 21.5lbs with the pace suspension forks but a little more with the crappy Tange forks now.

First thought was Trek but I don't' think they looked like that and then I thought Giant and their CADEX is probably what I was thinking of. Btu couldn't be sure as I don't know them well enough.
Al Carter, no idea.

Digging through the 1994 catalogue for Giant (in Archive btw) though colour would be CFM-4 so a STX clad bike, but of course could be one and they put better parts on it.
Not sure what the difference is in teh bbetter CFM frames

From the 1993/4 catelogue, then yeah a Giant Cadex carbon frame rebadged seems likely.

Zooming in the rear stay/hub join is identical as well as shape and cable runs and everything else i can think to check. See pic

I was pretty sure it was a rebadged something - so yeah maybe a Giant.
