My ´93 RTS-1

This is my RTS-1.

It´s a ´93 frame, made in late 92, with crmo rear swingarm and Nollen pro-shock version (like Mike King´s DH model).

The bike as a complete XTR M900 groupset, Spinergy wheels (looking for Spin´s), Mag 21 Sl TI with long travel kit, Look titanium stem, Flite TI, M737 pedals, Onza Rawbars 110 and Panaracer XC Magic tyres.

I like it. That Shark Fin aint doing much though. If simply for pure aesthetics, a longer stem would be nice

Sweet!! Love the Spinergy wheels, I reckon they're the pick of the old carbon fibre wheels.

Is it difficult keeping the old Rock Shox Mags in working order? I can't imagine it'd be much fun sourcing seals and bushings as they wear out?

What is the 'Shark Fin' for? I've never seen one before.

What is the 'Shark Fin' for? I've never seen one before.

Bit like a Lizard Skin. These were around in the mid-90's, aimed to stop chain slap on the top of your chainstay whilst the 'Shark Fin' was supposed to stop your chain getting stuck between your wheel/tyre and chainstay. Not that I've ever had that happen, I still brought one BITD!
