hi guys i have a ridgeback mx2 terrain (i know i know) but anyway im lookin at replacing the forks cuz frankly they suck rst 190 so does anyone know the steerer length and is it threaded and wot forks can i replace them with - cheers anthony.

take the forks you currently have off and have a look?
measure the steerer.
if your headset has big f-off locknut on top of it then it'll be a threaded steerer, but you'll be able to tell when you take it apart.

cecheers ive been told its 1"1\8 and its got allen bolt goin down the centre but can i measure without takin forks off

Approximately, yes! From where the steerer disappears into the head tube of the frame to the top of the steerer - which should be about 1/4" below the cap through which the bolt goes into the star nut in the steerer which holds it all together!

(this assumes a plain, not threaded, steerer!)
