Murray Is Mint!

What, you mean water/sugar/CO2/flavourings

Like a well shaken bottle of fizz, he's exploded and started to go flat.

He still got beat as per the norm in top end tennis, great player but never likely to be greatest player.

PS I know you mean iron but unfortunately of a lower grade than his opponent :(

I thought he was winning at 2-1, then losing in the 4th and the 5th up to 5-2. Then went he went 5-5 I thought the tide had turned for the last time and he'd finish it off but not to be.

Up and down for 5hrs. He had his chances too. But to beat any of the top 3 in those situations over 5 sets he needs that bit more. Probably confidence more than anything, he's not short on ability. Maybe Lendl will help give him a boost as someone who'd been there and done it.

Hope so.

True. At that level it's all in the mind. They're pretty even on ability and fitness, he just needs to believe in himself and show no weakness.

How much do sports psychologists get paid?

He did much less complaining to himself than normally. That was a good sign. I think sometimes sports stars forget that the reason they get paid is the people enjoy watching them.
I'm the other way around on that.

People - in general - like watching the sport, the spectacle, good competition. Individuals, or individuals involved who feel they have to be self-concious for the audience around them leave me cold and uninterested.

Perhaps that's why in F1 I'd happily support a driver like Kimi, over other drivers who play to the crowd or the media - or concern themselves and their performance, overly, about how the public perceive them.
