Mountain or X King Tyres?

Halfords appear to be selling the conti mountain king and x king tyres off at reasonable money
Any opinions on which ones would be a best do most things tyre?

X King for dryer harder stuff, Mountain King for damper conditions, depends what you ride most.

But depends on the compound mainly, which ranges from Chinese Barbie Doll plastic to Black Chili.

The cheap hard ones are nasty, the BC are rather good.

agree, the black chilli ones are excellent. I liek the racekings myself, have the xking as a front tyre on my FS bike (650b) and is pretty good, but raceking on the rear and racekings F/R on my other HT (26) and they (for me) are awesome.
Although the racesport versions, have sidewalls made from paper it seems.
