Mountain Goat WTR Dogs Breakfast - ideal project bike

RichN

Dirt Disciple
Mountain Goat Whiskeytown Racer 17". Handling and ride are superb (typical legendary Mountain Goat) but it does need work, hence 'project bike'.

Complete bike built with a variety of kit, some proper good vintage stuff, some junk. I've had this for ages (spent a year as my Mum's 'riding to the allotment'bike!) but I've not really got any need for it and I'd much rather it went to someone who'll do something with it. Seems a shame to let it rot in my shed.

The good stuff....
MG WTR frame 17" (burnt orange 'tiger stripe')
MG rigid forks (team orange / green)
Syncros 22" straight bars
Specialized seatpost
Turbomatic saddle
XT front mech
LX rear mech, rear hub and cantis (c.1995)
Kona brake levers
Kona stem (not exactly matching colour!)
Gripshift 8-speed
Odyssey Sharkbite flatties

Everything else is a bit ropey.

Only serious issue is with the frame. There is corrision inc some pinholes in the bottom half of the seat tube and at some point a frame builder will need to cut out the rotten bit and replace it. Maybe an ideal singlespeed project if you're going to have new dropouts fitted anyway?

£140 for the whole lot. Hope that's reasonable. Pick up from NE Brum (eves / wkends) or Leamington (daytime).

Rich.

Nah... thats my size. Anyway, you couldn't ride it in France, the controls are the wrong way round.
