So, after purchasing this last year from Gravy Monster I got as far as pressing a headset in and loosely putting a fork on. I am starting to get a bit bogged down with unfinished frames and projects so in order to make some room and money this needs to go.

Original sale thread here: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/vi...tdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=mountain+goat

And GM's excellent description (which I hope he does not mind me using):

"... 1992 and size 17 frame number is 1792w175 The frame is Tange Prestige & has a 1" headtube, Also has a mech inverter on the seatube

The Frame is in overall very good condition, The paintwork is lovley and shiney. Has a few chansuck marks , decals are in good shape but..... There is 1 area that needs to be conisdered, There are some small rust dots on the seat tube that visually dont look that bad, But under guidance from Chris there are 3 little pin holes within 3 of the dots, A torch shone down the tube brought this to my attention, the 3 dots and pin holes line up which is strange and could be a manufacturing defect ?. I have had a good look and to me looks and also sounds (when tapped with an allen key gently) solid and rings nicely not like an infected rusty area would , This area is in the last picture below"

I will add: 26.8 seat post required.

Further: I have had this checked over by a couple of people with some frame building experience and the consensus was that it is rideable, however its probably not going to stand up to too much abuse - the seat tube in general is not in a bad state (aside from the pin holes).

I will stick some of my own pics up in a bit but there are some of GM's originals on his thread.

Looking to get back what I paid or as near as so £140 posted, not including headset and fork)

I thought I had been reasonably clear, but just to be crystal, the frame is a good price because of the seat tube issue, clearly described in the main post - I am willing to ship anywhere but you will need to cover the cost of shipping plus insurance.

Ta!

it'd been clear, but I have not seen before images, I wanted to have a more precise idea of the matter

bontrager fork

Good price on the frame whatever the condition. It would be worth fixing.

Please excuse my question, but is the fork up for sale? (long shot!)
