Humour usually involves a contradiction with what is sincere, right, true or real, but in a way that that seems playful rather than bad. I didn't find the video funny (sorry) so much as absolutely spot on. He's right: extremism is self-gratifying, self-righteous and simplistic. I thought he did it very well and I'm pleased I watched it, but I wasn't laughing so much as thinking, 'Too right!'
