I am quite sure that is an authentic Greg Herbold raced/owned Elevation 12,000 ...or a very accurate replica. The later is not likely though as the production Elev12k did not come in this large size.
 
what's that rear wheel called?

I seem to recal they ahd somethgin to sdo with Tomac but then maybe not.

Anyone have one of those wheels? Or one of the "snowflake" (spokes twisted round each other) wheels?

Name dropping!

Greg Herbold always had the coolest bikes at the DH events, well at least the brightest, always had the fancy Ringle kit, so nice.

That is what I always thought too. Back in the day I dreamt hammering one downhill myself. Fortunately that became possible in more recent era ...after a very long search, as they are rare.

It looks like this is the same bike as in post #1 :)
