Ok boys here's facts.
I've bought a RS3, square tapered, fitting a middleburn 32-42, from a guy in internet.
After received it I've noticed that blue spider had some play on the arm.
Noticed that: 1 bolt is changed (and his hole was larger and ovalized), two bolts are cracked (and stil sitting in their holes in the arm) and just one bolt is funtional.
Is there anything I can do with it?
Are someone of you ever tried to repair it?
As soon as I can, I'll post some photos ;)

cheers

You have found the biggest problem with the original design.

When bolts on mine started getting a bit rounded I just decided to make the fixture permanent and fitted the spider with copious amounts of loctite on threads and interface.

Doesn't solve your problem though. You could drill the holes out and rethread them. But bolts are harder than the cranks so it'll be a difficult job to do nicely.

If seller didn't make these problems kown prior to purchase, then I'd be looking at a refund. If he did, then I'd just put it down to experience and bin them.

I might be interested in a left crank if it matches right crank on the mismatched pair I have at the moment.
