Mid 1980s Carlos Chrome/Steel Road Bike - SOLD!

Vintage 10-speed chromed steel road-racing bike with green lacquered top and down tube. It’s a light-weight steel frame which I think dates back to the mid-to-late 1980s. I've been told it's Columbus tubing but there are no decals to confirm either way, but it rides nicely and everything's true. It's French/Belgian in origin - the Carlos team were Belgian but I'm pretty sure the bicycles were French. Having said that, the frame could well be Italian - looks like a few Mosers I've seen - Minerva, too.

The bicycle was fully serviced last October: it received new brake cables, brake blocks, bar-tape, toe-clips, tyres and inner tubes. There is some wear to the green lacquer revealing the chrome underneath, but otherwise it is in excellent condition. The bike has 2 front rings and 5 rear cogs, the shifters are mounted on the down-tube, and the wheels are alloy and fitted with 700 x 23c tyres.

A picture of the bicycle features in the latest edition of the URBAN CYCLIST (issue 3)! I'm selling because I've just bought a Romani and don't have the room for both
