Yup, that seat post is fugly, even though I'm sure it's very functional. Looks like a thud buster (cc)?

I've never tried one. I'm not a fan of rear suspension, especially when it's a seat post.

something nicer is in order for the front suspension, though I love those forks; they're so plush, and just a bit heavy.
