S/N is 5xxx so 1991
So I misread the leading 5 for a 9? Could be but I can't check anymore: the picture has been amended in the ad. Not very fair .

Is it your bike or are you related to the seller?

It's my frame and I deleted the picture, cause the S/N was difficult to read. So why it's not fair?
It can't be 9xxx (frame details show, that the frame is earlier).

And if you want to buy it, I can send additional pictures.

Because if others are reading this and wanted to help reading the S/N and give advice, it's no more possible. Anyway, not a problem.

I'm not sure about the size. You say 18.75" but this wasn't offered in 1991. I know, it's not that easy to determine the size with sloping frames. Moreover when Merlin was talking about "Nominal size" that is neither center-to-center nor center-to-top, but center-to-top of a virtual horizontal tube. That's why, if you could measure the head tube length (top-to-top) it would give a definitive answer, as it's the only tube having a different length in all sizes. And there's no "Nominal length" or other peculiarities with the latter: just bare length :-).

Thanks!

Hi, head tube length is 120 mm.
Thanks for checking. So this translate to 4.75" for the head tube, meaning you're the proud owner of what Merlin describes as a Medium 20" Nominal size frame in the 1991 catalogue.
