Meccano

Morning all,

Last week I was doing a little clear out at my mother's house and found some old Meccano bits and bobs. Does anyone collect this stuff? I think there may be a couple of old empty boxes from largish kits etc somewhere in the attic. The bits and bobs are random parts and there would not be enough bits to build anything.

Of more interest (to me) was a swimming badge I found - a 20m badge from P5. I have told my daughter I will be getting it sewn into my current swimmers for holidays - she was not overly pleased at the thought. I really think I will get it sewn on!

Richard, there are two ways to avoid having all your swimming badges sewn onto your trunks... either win so many badges that they just won't fit and sew them onto your towel instead, or wear swimming trunks so small that there's nowhere to put a badge on anyway :shock:

Thanks for the hot tips but I doubt i will have a prob finding space on my trunks, the hunt will be on for the 10m badge soon! And i might look out for my lovely brown 1970's Speedos! (the thought is putting me off my breakfast)

Anyone interested in the Meccano?

I'd put the meccano stuff up on ebay to bring in some much needed funds for bike bits.
Its got quite a following and im sure the boxes themselves are worth something.
Better than nothing but probably lost on here :?
