I have for sale a set of vintage Mavic Paris-Roubaix wheels.
These wheels were actually used in the 1989 Paris-Roubaix by the Lotto team!!
The rims are tubular and 32h. Both rims have plenty of braking life left in them, they don't look like they have been used a huge amount. The rims both have some red glue residue on them.
The Hubs are both Mavic and are original team issue, also from '89. There is no play in the hubs and the bearings still run very smooth. The cassette currently on the rear hub is a 7 speed Suntour cassette and has very minimal wear.
I bought these wheels over a year ago as I planned to build a bike and couldn't believe my luck at finding a set of used Paris-Roubaix wheels! However I have never built them into a bike and I don't really have the time now so I am reluctantly selling them. They will come with a set of NOS tyres from the same era.
These rims were built to be very hardwearing, as the name suggests they were built specifically for the Paris-Roubaix and as such, have got a reputation to this day of being very strong rims that will take a battering.
These wheels, the rims especially are very rare, I'm looking for £200 for them.
Here are a couple of links with some more detais:
