Mavic Crossmax wheel rims?

I have a rear Mavic crossmax ceramic rim/hub setup I want to put on the rear of my RC200. It is 28 hole with radial spokes on one side. Having been ouot of touch for some time I take it they are pretty good? they certainly seem expensive.

Ideally it needs a new rim as well as retruing to fit the Pace offset. Is it possible to get replacement Crossmax rims? I looked on chain reaction and they just list usual 517 etc rims.

Is there any specific differences between a crossmax rim and a normal mavic?

I'm no wheel expert, but I think there are some problems with sourcing older crossmax spares. I seem to remember the spokes being the hardest to find...but I may well be wrong.

I'd give the distributor a call. Who brings in Mavic? Can't remember. Sure someone will be along in a min to help better.

Don't you not have to dish rear wheels for Pace's ? I seem to remember mine having the asymetric rear end so you didn't have to? Or have I got taht quite wrong?

Sorry, not much help this is it?

:)

the official guys for mavic are r j chicken but their warehouse was recently burnt down by some dodgy little scroat! they are back up and running but not much stock in yet let alone the older stuff, they do have a warranty/technical guy in basingstoke somewhere though but you'll have to go through a shop, he's trade only.

hope that helps

Dishing for the center of the rim is 66mm from the inside face of the left dropout and 69mm from the right just ta let you know :D

Hey Yam RD,

if you do manage to find any give me a shout cause I could do with one too.

Cheers Chris.
