dont suppose anyone knows the part no's for the spokes on an original set of crossmaxes do they..???

they have all the technical manulas there for every wheelset. its a fantastic resource, you will find the part numbers you need in the tech catalogue for the crossmaxes.

what specific model and year crossmax wheels are they?

'96 first generation - just getting my bike ready for its first race of the year and noticed I had a loose spoke - turns out I stripped the thread on the spoke somehow last year... wheels perfectly straight still but first race is a bit of a bumpy rocky affair...

the mavic website seems to have only from 1997 onwards in their archives.

there is a section i found for spoke references, in the current tech section. there is a drop down for a 'crossmax' wheel. the codes are thus:

rear drive side, 273 M40021

rear non drive side 255 M40020

front, 255 M40020

all are listed as straight pull, round double butted round head black.

pretty sure this would be the info you need, sounds like a pretty normal type of spoke, you should be able to get something like that from a bike shop, even if its not genuine mavic.
