they came in a few versions as you probably know , HG as pictured and mavics own spline pattern with a lockring (or using a threaded small cog)

yes it is Shimano HyperGlide splines

Very nice ! I assume the shimano cogs cut into the soft alloy body too easily so mavic later switched to steel bodies .
