Only seen one other on here and the poster has since been banned, [he's been banned from MTBR too].

Here's my May 2005 Monolink named Northrop, in anodised silver bought as a frame only last year and after changing the shock oil [quantity and weight] I replaced the Mono link bearings and built it up initially from my parts bin. Since then it has undergone a brand loyalty swap from XTR to mostly SRAM Redwing.

I've also replaced the decals which are still available from the U.S.

Parts highlights are Kore hubs laced to 819 tubeless rims, Thomson and Nuke Proof finishing kit with Elixir brakes.

A R.S. Revelation is on the way so that I can put the Bombers back on my 456. If I can find a Redwing rear mech and maybe a dropper post it should be just about finished.

So how does it ride? Overall the best full bouncer for me yet. Descending is good with technical climbs and rock gardens it's real strength. It seems impossible to hook up the rear wheel.

Finally, My other car is a Maverick too.

NIce. Not sure I feel the red seat, but hey, everyone is different... ;)[/quote

It'll be joining the Bombers when they move. The new fork is white so I have a matching saddle in the cave.

Re: Maverick ML7

Looks lovely, I had it's brother a Klein Palomino. Really regret selling that bike, it did downhill, uphill, short blasts, all day cross country epic rides. A great design :)

Re:

Thanks, they seem to grow on you once you get over the initial shock. This was originally set up as a XC race bike for my mates wife. She won several races with it including a season long series before moving to a hardtail.

I'll get some more pictures once the new fork arrives.

Do you have any pics of your Klein?

Re: Maverick ML7

Afraid not, was a lovely dark to light blue faded metallic colour with mainly XT and Thomson parts. Only issue I had was a slight bit of play in the bottom linkage bearings, when I had it I couldn't find a monolink upgrade kit for love nor money, as soon as I sold it an NOS one came up on eBay with a stupidly cheap buy it now price :(

Re:

Bought the frame off the bay (sadly no head badge so nameless) and swapped the bits off my P7 that I could.

This is an oldish pic as many more parts have up-graded.

Have some Duc 32s waiting to go on...
