I've just bought a 1988 Stumpjumper and i'm thinking of getting a Matt Black paint job.

The bike has been painted before so i'm not going to spoil the originality.

I'm really after a stealth look, do you think it would look good?

matt black is a cool colour (my vw caddy is matt black and it rocks) but it is a bugger to clean and stains easily.

if i painted a bike matt black i would go over it with a matt lacquer
