For Sale Masi 3vVolumetrica 1987 54.5 x 54.5 ‘PRICE REDUCTION’

Dirt Disciple
Reluctantly decided to sell my 1987 Masi 3vVolumetrica. Size is 54.5 centre to centre on both top and seat tube. Seat tube is 56cm centre to top. Finished in red and chrome. It does show some signs of its age with chips in the paintwork and a little pitting in the chrome. There is some fading to the paint on the forks. However, as far as I can tell it is all original which can only add to the authenticity. Furthermore, as far as I understand, it is a genuine Italian built frame, not American. The bike was purchased by me in Italy and further confirmed by the frame number. Only reason for sale is to free up some space. It will be sad to see it go. Until I purchased it I had wanted one for about 40 years. I do have other bikes but space is limited so something has to give.
The bike has a full Campagnolo C-Record groupset. Cranks are 170mm with 42/52 chainrings. Freewheel is 14 to 24, 7 speed using down tube friction levers.
The Delta brakes work very smoothly and currently have the cables aero. The option is always there to have the cables exposed. I can confirm that the brake lever plugs are are fitted. Bare are Cinelli 65, 40cm c to c. Stem is Cinelli 95mm.. Wheels are Campagnolo Omicron rims 700c, 36h.
The bike rides beautifully and all of the equipment functions as it should. Although not ’showroom’ condition, it does look rather nice. It is just an honest bike baring some patina of its age. It can only be original once.
I am not desperate to sell so unrealistic offers will be declined. I am not keen on posting so would prefer any potential buyer to view and avoid any issues with possible damage during transit. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or require more photos.
Asking price is £1895. Price reduced to £1795
I am located in Hampshire.

Can I be really tedious and ask you for the head tube measurement please? I.e. between the head tube cups

Hi. No problem. Head Tube measurement is 140mm. Also, in case bit may be useful, the saddle height in the photo is 73cm measured from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the saddle. Ask away if there is anything else you need to know.
