Marzocchi Bomber mudguard mount

I've got a Marzocchi Bomber fork and I'd like to mount mudguards. I've got pclips for the bottom of the fork, but unlike my Mag21 there's no mount at the crown.

There is a little adapter for the cable if using cantilever brakes - has anyone come across an adapter that might fit it?

The only other alternative I can think of is to get a part machined to bolt in place of the adapter

If you're looking for the canti adapter there are some on ebay. Not original, reproductions but the real ones sell for quite a bit.

Once you run canti's though it makes mud guards near impossible. At least any mud guard that protrudes beyond the braces.

If you're asking if there is a bracket to mount to those holes that will fit a fender, the answer is no.

I've ran this before & it works. Has a plug that fits the bottom of the steerer tube to hold the fender. Won't work with Canti's though.

Thanks. I actually have the canti adapter but I wondering if there's anything I could fit to it (or the two holes) that would give me the mudguard mount point.

I really want to use my Bluemels mudguards though and mounting to the steerer would only work if that's the only point of contact with the fork

I think it might have to be a couple of zip ties then unless I can find someone to cut and drill a bit of metal as I don't have facilities to do it myself.

Re:

Cable ties may be your best/only fairly simple option.
They are actually surprisingly sturdy and long lasting (have had a bottle cage held in place with cable ties for over a year).

Otherwise you are looking at makjng/bodgineering something from thin sheet metal, which could be done fairly easily if you have the tools.

I think you should be able to fab something up. Doesn't have to be crazy.

Wonder if you could get some heat moldable thick kydex & mold it to fit the brace & fender. Should be easier to fit than steel or aluminum. If you need to more rigid double up & glue or rivet together.

Or perhaps something like this...

Re:

I've already got a set of those but pclips work just as well. In fact one of the dropout teeth of my Paris Roubaix Road forks broke off after using them so I have a feeling they put uneven stresses on the "lawyer's lip"

It's the top end I'm looking at. I might try your idea. Cheers!

In the end I just cut and drilled a thin bit of metal I had in the toolbox - I think it was from an old light bracket
