Hi guys,

I bought a marin team issue last week, mainly for the other parts (i'm a GT Zaskar man you see) so i have the above up for sale to try and recoup some of my outlay.

I'm not too sure on price to be honest (especially on the frame), but i know the rules, so ive put what i think is reasonable.

- Marin team issue quad butted steel frame (circa 97) 19'' according to the guy i bought it from (but see measurements below). Comes with a marin stem and seat post QR, a newish looking alloy seat post, some flat bars and an XT front mech (M73 to fit. Paint work isnt great, little marks all over it, but no damage other than one tiny pin dent that you'd have to run your finger over to feel. reduced to £SOLD

- XTR m951 cranks and chainrings, m950 servicable bottom bracket (runs, but could be smoother), m950 cassette and a sram chain. These have all been running together and work together, so must go together. good condition. £SOLD.

I think its a little earlier than 1997. Those straight afterburner stays were early 90's (although im not an expert so am probably talking rubbish)

could well be the case, i was only guessing by the groupset it came fitted with that it was 97/98 - the introduction of V brakes is as far back as by retro knowledge goes!

If you post the serial number it tend to give clues to the date.

It' not 1995 as it's the Bear Valley colour not the Team Marin colour, next best guess would be 1996. but I don't know what they look like.
