Hi everybody! As my first mtb was a 1998 Bolinas Ridge I was intrigued to see my new neighbour taking a Marin (Muirwoods) on a family bike ride. He's had the bike from new but is unsure when he bought it(about £250 at the time) but reckons its from 1987ish, Trying not to question his memory but I said it must be later and after much research (well, I looked on Ebay) I concluded it must be 1992. Now I've found Retrobike I'm sure someone can confirm this.
Anyway, the main thing is he wants to sell it now and has asked me to help me "find a good home" for the Marin which has served him well and he hopes someone will appreciate. Frankly, I would like it myself but at 6'3" I am just too big for it. I think the bike is worth £120 so am looking for offers
in that region.
The Marin is has all the original parts which seem to have very little wear. The gears and brakes work perfectly. The paintwork has very few chips mainly on the front of the chainstays plus two on the top tube.
Spec: 18" frame (measured the Marin way-BB to Centre of Top Tube

Shimano 200 derailleurs
