PS, how do i get the black paint of and polish the frame?

Full bikes came with white Manitou SX forks, White Industries (the cheapo Sugino ones) cranks and the rest was (I think) similar stuff to what you got on the Pine Mountain etc so mix of LX and XT and X-Rays IIRC.

they were pretty cool bitd. makes an awful racket as you go along though as the monocoque acts like a drum for the cables!

I can vouch for both the racket and the cool factor. A mate of mine rode a full sus Quake 9 with the monocoque front triangle for years. Originally fitted with top of the line Sx Ti Manitou's (in white) and the White cranks indeed, but he went through several versions of kit on it.

That bike did rack up miles quickly (as in get up at 5 AM and ride an hour and a half before going to work, and then the same again after work, sort of daily). This is a poor picture, but it is the best I managed to find (I cannot convince Pinkbike not to blow up smaller images):
