Marin (Downhill?) Monocoque 1996 (info wanted pretty please)

Hi Guys,..
is there someone here who might know anything about this frame?

i bought this (i think) ,..and the owner couldn't tell me much besides it is from '97,..
and the black part used to be clear alu...

the monocoque hardtail started life in 1996. it became the quake in 1997, in 97 there was also an FS version (the quake 9.0)

all the info i got was from bikepedia.com

i remember these from when they were new and always thought they looked really cool.

i can't remeber then at all,..and i can not find a picture what so ever of how it originally looked,..

Looks like a Mountain Cycles Moho or a a later Mantis Flying V.

i remember them being polished, and being quite expensive with fairly average kit, so presumably the frames were costly to make

they were pretty cool bitd. makes an awful racket as you go along though as the monocoque acts like a drum for the cables!

i Think if i polish the frame again my Vector Girvin would look great in this,..
