THe Build =

So I picked up a 1989 bear valley frame some time ago and its time to set off on another bike build journey, I'm a bit of a closet marin lover to be honest and loved the simplicity of the builds back in the day but they seem to be getting harder to come by so when I can get one for a bargain..... I do.

I have a lot of bits and bobs for this build sat around in various areas of the shed and have decided to group it all to see whats missing, mainly.... its the fork :?

Re:

Now that minor embarrassment is over we can get back to the job in hand.

Wheels :)

Now I'm lucky enough to have had half a donor for this build, its wheels are perfect! black Araya RX-7 rims laced to M452 hubs

The walls are obviously silver after many years of use and have some discolouring so a quick clean and the rims sanded to take off some of that white alu rust looking stuff, now this isnt a full RBG restoration, this is just .... a reunion of parts so dont expect highly polished nos parts :) , New skewers..... the old ones were beyond salvaging.

Looking forward to seeing this built, I’m a Marin lover too. I purchased the same BV in a 17.5 this week.
It rides brilliantly, was going to strip and respray the frame, but in a day of having it ..I’m just going to leave as it is. :) maybe Ritchey foam grips & Marin tyres.....
