I need a question answered but can`t get on the FAQ, can someone tell me what year each of the Manitou 1, 2, 3 and 4 forks hail from ?

I think the dates here are correct:

Marin bikes came with the Manitou 2 as an option in 1993, and the 1994 review here has a Manitou 3:

sport was I think the same year as the manitou3. It was basically a 2 (elastomers under the stanchion rather than inside), but no preload adjusters. S really like a manitou one in a 2's body kinda thing. . .

As we're talking about Manitous where can I get elastomers (or springs), bushings and seals for a Manitou 3? Any help appreciated.

there is a guy on ebay selling replacement springs for the old manitou forks. if you are lucky you might find some replacement elastomers on ebay as well. a retrobike member was selling elastomers too. forgot who...
the manual for manitou 3s can be found here.
regarding the dating issue i can recommend the mombat timeline. it says the "manitou m sport" (looks a bit like the manituo 1) was 1993. the "manitou sport" (looks like a manitou 2) was 1994.
