Doesn't look original to me, but then neither is the crown or steerer - all look a bit upgraded.
One of my sets came with a carbon fiber brace, another came with a brodie one - there were so many after market guys around back then that I couldn't say, but then my suspension knowledge sort of starts and ends in 1991...
