Making a steering bag

Hello All,

I'm trying to make my own steering bag for my Motobecane.

What I want to use is an Army Gasmask (I believe) bag. Add some nice black leather straps, fixate them to the bag. And that's it.

This is how it's going to look, but what do you think of it like this?

Re:

you need to consider vibration while riding. Will it move? Will the constant vibration cause cloth/straps/laces to wear and break?

when it's full, does everything go to one side and affect the handling?

other than that, looks good

Most of the commercial ones have some sort of an internal frame or support to stop it resting on the tyre/mudguard when it gets heavy/full/loose.

Might be worth looking into. Can get some small headtube/fork crown mounted supports. Or DIY.

Thanks for the tips everybody. But for now I leave the bag as it is.
I have added a foam bottom inside the bag, so normally it should touch the frontwheel.
