S samsbike Retro Guru May 18, 2015 #1 I have just been getting into offroading but the 2010 does not feel so lively as I expected. I am running the standard 2.2 mountain kings and the overall bike is light. Is it more my expectations or is it a case of n+1? thanks

G greencat Senior Retro Guru May 18, 2015 #2 Consider getting a shorter stem. I put a 50mm stem on one of my bikes and it absolutely transformed the ride. Otherwise obvious places to lighten it are the wheels (tubes, then tyres then wheels in order of expense).
