The spring tension always seemed too high to me and you couldn’t really adjust it; the ex missus managed to break loads of springs too.Really like the Controltech cantis - good example of that 90s MTB mindset of trying to fix a problem that didn’t exist using a simple but innovative solution!
I hope for the sake of the denizens of RB, this pricing was a couple of decades ago, not 6 months! The spring tension always seemed too high to me and you couldn’t really adjust it; the ex missus managed to break loads of springs too.
But at least the brakes only cost us £15 a pop from Ricci cycles. Wish I’d bought loads of sets now!!
Good deal on the HO’s too.. necessary in that case given you typically got half a dozen rides out of them before they cracked! I have an BNIB bike’s worth lying around but every time I weight them up for a build I think.. “what’s the point?”Alas it was, 96 or 97 I think.
Ricci used to advertise loads of out of date stuff for peanuts - some of which they actually had! We bought a few sets of Onza HO canti’s for £15 as well
