Trying to service my bike, now in need of some lube and grease, wondering if anyone has any recommendations.

My thinking at this point is progold grease, and chain lube, with the good reviews it gets. Any wise words for me?

Really like the Finish Line range, been using it for years, good products and different types for different things... tried others still come back to Finish Line... Thumbs up from me... :)

Well the greases they do I think are brill, stripped hubs/headsets down after several months and no breakdown, or wear to bearing surfaces, and it could just be me but I think the chain seems to shift better and last longer than other types I have used, And I have used quite a few and some of them have been twice the price of the equiv. Finish line stuff.. dont always believe what you read from mags or promo fella...

See what other retrofolk on here rec, then form your own opinion.. but I will stick to what I know works...

I'm still using Phil Wood's Tenacious oil, but I'm down to my last few mill so I might need to change soon.

big fan of white lightning epic. Need to clean your chain really really well before using.

See pace has some new chain lubes - anyone tried them?

I used to use this reliegously but it builds up a layer of wax on everything and is a pain to clean. I've recently switched to T9 and love it.

Finish line (wet or dry, dependant on the conditions) on all my bikes.

Finishline is all i can find locally, which makes me wonder if it's just the default option, works reasonably well and hence people like it.

Get yourself to a proper motorbike shop, the type that do repairs, and get some Silkolene RG2 grease, it's synthetic, so it doesn't swell nylon bushes and rubber seals, only costs a fiver or so for a big tub of it, and it's RED!!
As for the chain, i'd go for the finishline wet, stays on for longer, but remember to use sparingly. But of course, this is all my humble opinion!! :D
