Little Unknown frame - creative help required!

I picked up this little frame of unknown origin. Unlike other unknown frame threads I'm not looking to identify it as I think that'll be a lost cause as there are no identifying marks (other than a frame number). What I would like is your ideas on how to progress with the build.

I intend to respray and rebuild. What colour? What name shall I give it? Components? etc

Thinking cos it's small it should be aimed at female and/ or junior rider.

I have a few ideas but what would you do with it?

Looks like a Sirius / Orbit to me. Same seat cluster arrangement, same dropouts, same format for the frame number as my Sirius frames, (although they are micro TT frames) the similarities are too hard to ignore. Are the forks original?

Hope this helps with a possible frame maker.

I did wonder if it's a TT frame. Could you post a picture of your Sirrus please?

I don't think the forks are original no. Thinking about replacing with threadless carbon or steel lugless.

Hopefully these will help Tel ... apologies for the poor images, I have to go through this photo reducing faff to upload.

Forgot to photo but the rear brake bridge is 100% identical on yours & mine.

Nick @ HLloyds has the Sirius template for decals, he made me a couple of sets last year & one day I might get round to getting mine sprayed and built up into riders!

hi the fork crown looks to be the same used on the gan lemonds but the rake looks more than 44mm . it took me ages to find one! is the frame fillet brazed ?
I suppose a lot of people who have some clues but no positive id still go for it! and decal and tubing id badge . its amusing when it turns out to be something better !
for this bike i would like to do something different black and white metalflake plain gloss the joints exagerated to spear pointsas a feature. prisma flake in the laquer spaced at 10mm grid all round
you did ask . :P

Blimey that's some paint job you have in mind there! I'm very likely to go for a single colour to keep the cost down especially a the bike will be sold on. Nice suggestions though thanks :)

There are certainly some similarities between this and you Sirrus Finney. I can't see on my phone but is yours fillet brazed/ lugless too?

Not sure about branding it something when I'm not sure entirely what it is. Thought about just having something unique like 'Swift' or humorous like I.M.Little or perhaps I may use my company name and put Stallion down the side although given the size it's more of a pony but that has an alterior meaning....

Both mine are lugged frames but I have seen a Sirius lo-pro that was lugless. Despite being from the same maker mine are both pretty different - one uses bottle cage bosses, one doesn't, they have different cable guide bosses and different front mech hangers, so I think it's safe to say that Sirius / Orbit frames weren't built in uniform fashion. The 4 digit frame number is located on the BB but in different places though, the rear dropouts are identical, brake bridge identical, seat lug identical, DT bosses identical. Also mine have chain hangers, does yours Tel? All in all i'm pretty confident it's a Sirius / Orbit frame, it just 'looks' like one. If you give me an alternate email address I can send some photo's that I haven't had to re-size.

What colour?
Br green with brass splotches would be OK with me, but since you ask, how about something subtle? i.e., an in-between colour that cannot be described adequately by any of the following words:
RED
ORANGE
YELLOW
GREEN
BLUE
PURPLE
BLACK
...and I'd probably favour a 'tint' (a colour mixed with white) rather than a 'shade' (mixed with black) or an INTENSE 'hue' mixed with neither..
..I must be gettin' old.... :)

Hmm you guys are making my decision on colour (which isn't really decided upon yet) seem extremely plain :)

Sent an email to Orbit to see if they can shed any light. Thanks for all the insights Finney
