I want something free, simple and easy to use for music downloads.

i used to use soulseek a lot a few years back, its a bit more community based as you can brouse peoples files, which is good for descovering new music

As a struggling musician, i would ask you all to pay for your music. So many people think that it is free, but really, it takes blood and sweat to make good music, and it would be nice to be rewarded for that effort :?

It is usually under copyright, and the composers and artists have intelectual rights as well. Does Retrobike condone theft? Do any of you give away your work for free?

I know that in a lot of cases, the "Man" takes a big cut, but you can often find music available direct from the artist these days.

as a footnote i should also like to say if i like it i buy it...if i dont it goes...all the music i have on disc i have owned by purchasing in the past so there has been no loss of income for the artist...its only fair..these days tho i use use demonoid and thats it and its just for films...the reason being you dont get a refund if you hate it at the picture show...if i like the film i go and buy the dvd ...if i dont it goes..out of all the hundreds of dvd films i own only 1 is a back up...(its elf but i dont feel guilty about it as i use the dvd as a tea coaster)..


on a more personal note i support artist and wish that the huge companies that bleed them dry could jump off a cliff...when cds go the way of the dodo they will have to come up wiyth another way of stiffing them..

Frostwire, Isohunt or Piratebay ( using Vuze to download stuff ). Piratebay works for me but ask an expert as I haven't a clue.
