Light bikes are NOT faster?????

past laira bridge (ish) is like a whole new city to me! i know of places but couldnt tell you how to get there by heart
my uncle lives in hooe
might have to visit your pub, when is the next real ale festival? :D

so one will get hyped up as the other is dumbed down, lose lose really!

have you ever seen idiocracy? its a film

The last real ale festival was at a couple of weeks ago, and they run every six weeks or so, so I will post on here when the next one is, but it is winter ales at the moment, dark and heavy the type one can almost eat, but lovely, love the stuff.

Your Uncle in Hooe, well, you are sorted for somewhere to kip.

The film you mentioned, no, not seen that.

A quick glance at the film, yeah I expect you are right, as dumbing down makes more sense for a controllable and predictable population, just make sure they have their regular diet of X factor, footy and sit coms to keep society happy. But, better not go there today, no rebellion today

You see it's the Mountain Bikes that have breaks in the pub drinking winter real ale, so they don't feel the cold or see the need to go fast or in fact leave the pub.

I think that's what you've just said ?

Over three quarters of people who die of lung cancer do so at over 65. You could hypothesise that the big late-70s/early-80s hump is the people who smoked like the chimneys of legend as young people in the 50s. And it's been dropping since 1980, although to be fair some of that will be the result of more effective treatment - haven't found a graph of lung cancer diagnoses rather than deaths, although given that our ability to diagnose diseases earlier improves with time, I'd expect any such graph to go generally upwards regardless of cause :)

[Edit - in fact, here's the incidence graph (only goes back to 1975, but still) and it's down lots for men, up slightly for women, down on average overall:

The bike thing says to me that the differences between a light bike and a heavier one are small enough to be masked by variable traffic conditions/red lights/junctions/etc. Which I don't think is a very controversial conclusion :)
