I am selling a unique Kona Lava Dome: Horizontal dropouts, Alfine-8 speed rear hub, Carbon belt drive option.
The base was a new Kona Lava Dome (I believe 2001 model, but not certain). Tailor made, laser cut vertical dropouts were added.
The dropouts were designed to enable the installation of Belt Drive instead of chain. With other words the rear triangle can be opened to install the belt drive.
In addition, due to the horizontal dropouts, special disc brake mounts were necessary, which are also unique and laser cut.
The rear triangle on the brake side was strengthened and the entire frame&fork (Kona P2) was powder coated. The color is one shade brighter than Bianci green.
After I finished the project I could only try it once and now I have to move, so I have to sell some bikes and spare parts
The bike is built up mainly with new elements, but some used parts were also applied:
