Kona Lava Dome Joe Murray, Black, what year is it?

I have a Lava Dome, Joe Murray, Project 2 folks. Black in colour. (I up graded it at the time to: Shimano Deore DX gearing & Decore XT gear/bake levers,) Frame serial number is F1022200 (UK). I bought it from a friend back in 1996 may have been earlier as it’s that far back now and memory doesn’t serve me to the exact year. It’s had some hard use around Glossop where I use to live. Its been store for best part of 8 years in Liverpool and I’m looking to get back on it. The paint work is in poor condition that’s to say its been a bike that’s been ridden and dropped a fair few times but the frame is true.
My questions are:
What year was it made? (Original spec?)
Can it be repainted to its original spec and livery? Est Cost £/$
Is it worth anything as a project to others?

What a fast reply. Information was just what I required.
I'm rebuilding it today, just to get it to a workable standard to see if I'm still in love with it, or need something more matching to my age and changing riding style !! 'Slowing down in life', may need suspension etc now...
Have been quoted by our local bike shop in Liverpool (Quinns) £100 to have it re-sprayed and new matching livery.

You could also go down the powder coating route which is cheaper and tougher.

Could also be a 92. Both years offered bikes in black, and my 92 explosif has the same decals and fork. Very nice either way.

1991 had a brazed-on seat clamp, 1992 had a separate wrap-around.

This one looks integral. But yes, black was an option in both years.

Good eye! You're right, and mine has the seperate QR style seat clamp.

Yes it has the brazed seat clamp so I guess its pointing to a 91.
I have brought it back to life, couple of new wheels tyres and its on its first easy trek up Woodhead pass in hours time, once at the top I will put it to the test going up/down Bleaklow moor track to see if it can make and to see If I still have it in me in.
