Retro Newbie
Hi there, hope i have posted this in the right place?! just wondered what this might be valued at?

my 1993 Kona Kilauea.
Manitou 3 elastomer forks - need a full overhaul and probably new elastomers, but in ok condition.
lots of original bits including XT shifters, front and rear mechs, and Ritchey brakes. Original XT BB, although has some play in it!, and has a newish XT threaded headset.
Chainset is a Sugino with a Middleburn middle ring.
wheels are newer - there are 2 front wheels - 1 is a Ritchey Vantage rim, the other a newer Mavic, and the rear is a MAvic 517.
Saddle is a Colnago Titanium
many thanks

Obviously you'll get more for splitting the lot, but most of the value is in the frame, so I'd reckon £150-175 as it stands although that's assuming all the parts work as they should and the frame is straight and rust free.

Re:

Agree to a point

The bars, stem are not original, the forks are shagged as is the bottom bracket and rear cogs and the front rings aren't exactly singing buy me

I would agree the money is in the frame but if it's in the condition that the rest is then £75-£130

I saw you mention £350.... That would be for a good condition all working complete bike.

You might be able to strip and clean the other parts up and make some extra shekels that way though but I wouldn't be looking for big bucks

As with most things that are collectable, condition is key

Re:

Definitely strip it and sell separately to make the most money. Give the frame a good clean and polish and take some good photo's including lose ups of tube junctions, BB threads and any dents or areas of heavy paint loss.
