Kona Hei Hei

Actually, looking at the pic's on of the cage holder screw holes is missing. Wonder if the rest of the frame is ok?

Just to be clear, it's a size 19 not 18 as claimed. Also it's a 1993 frame, i.e. a frame that isn't suspension-adjusted, fitted with a modern 100mm fork and a long flat stem. Not a very good combination.

Could be a good project for those who buy bikes to split up for profit, rather than because they want to own them.

£6-650? Just a guess.

If it does then that'll be an absolute steal as I think hei hei frames go for £450 plus with 6days to go and it's at £311? I'm going for nearer to the £850 mark anyway and maybe more

I don't see it. For an eBay price of £850, the parts need to add up to at least £1,250-1,300. Older Hei Hei frames fetch less than 97/later ones and I don't see £750-800 of value in the parts. It also says collect in person, which won't help, although he's iffy about that too.

Maybe he'll gain from not admitting that it's an old frame, let alone that it isn't suspension-adjusted, but I hope not.

I still got two in my watch list from the last few months although they are frames only, one was a 1998 19 inch whcih went for 538.91 GBP. The other was a 1992 19 inch which went for 510.00 GBP.

I would say (and I know nothing) you have got to at least add a couple hundred on there as its essentially a complete bike whether or not you want all the bits on it. For example you may want another set of wheels on it but then someone else may be happy with buying and using this.

I would say this will go for about 700 - 800 GBP.

I asked the guy what the reserve was as when I put a cheeky bid in the reserve was not met. Now it is and it looks like the owner does not know the real value. Shame he didnt decide to sell at a boot sale with me visiting

If I had bundles of spare cash, considering how often these come up I would personally bid. 800 GBP but just dont have that sort of money.
