Hi,
are you shure that is a 95iger? I think because the "64" in the Frame Number, it is a 96iger HeiHei-King Kahuna?! I have the same in 19":

maybe take a look at the German 96iger Katalog, and read about the Magic "64"

(and a 92iger:
)

Cheers from Germany

The "95" in the FrameNumber is not for the year!

B17495-64= B17=17" / 495=Serialnumber / 64= the Special Kahuna Rear

Hi,

Thanks for your comment. But well, I'm not 100% sure.
I knew about the different specifications on the 1996 dropouts, 3.25 vs 6.4 titanium for hei hei and king kahuna. I see your point regarding 64 at the end of the serial number. But I'm not sure if that 64 means the Special Kahuna Rear 6.4 titanium.

I have also read in mtbr that there were two different kinds of serial number for the Hei Hei and the King Kahuna:
1. serial number that start with a B > Hei Hei
2. serial number that start with a K > King Kahuna

http://forums.mtbr.com/kona/hei-hei-ser ... 31152.html

Sorry i have it only in German:

i am realy shure that yours is (like mine) a 96iger TransitionModel. Don´t sell it! It's rare, and there was just this year(96).

Re:

If it comes to splitting can l register interest in the stem and seat post please? Cheers, Matt.

Re:

Wheuw - it is on a 17"

Now - if it had been a 19", I would have taken it right away. Gorgeous :D

Think that Captain Canada has a point which cannot be argued against. This is for sure one of the transition models before Kona went with B and K as identification letter in serial number.

Love the way Kona describes in the German catalogue how each and every frame is custom handmade. Well - there must be a definition issue here as we all know they made them in batches of 50 per size.

Love the cockpit....and everything else on this one :!:
