Kona Frame Number

Hi - I have just purchased a 91 cinder cone frame from guybe (Thanks again)

I was wondering if there is anymore infomation about the frame to be gained from the frame number which is F9089714?

I'm afraid not. The F9 says what factory it was built in and is consistent with it being a Cinder Cone but doesn't prove it. The zero says that the frame was built in 1990, so proves that it is either a 1990 or a 1991 model. The rest of the numbers don't tell us anything in terms of identity and Kona have no records to say what they mean.

I think we saw this bike on here and it was visibly either a 91 or a 92 Cinder Cone, so the frame number proves it is a 91.
